April 2019 Prompt: Beta's Truemate
APRIL 2019 PROMPT BETA’S TRUEMATE
(POSTING DATES April 15TH-19TH)
Gamermom won February’s challenge, which means they get to pick April’s theme, and they chose Beta’s Truemate! More specifically, “Woe be to the truemate of a beta, for their mate will not know their scent.”
It’s open to interpretation, but there are also some + and - points.
-100 points if it passes the Bechdel test
+200 if you include misogynistic tropes (fridging, rescue the princess, psycho/evil ex (especially if the woman is not a villain in canon)
PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO TUMBLR’S RECENT CHANGES, this challenge is now spread across four different social media sites (Tumblr, Dreamwidth, Pillowfort, Discord with posted fics on AO3). Because of this, it’s becoming very hard to track everyone’s promos.
*** Please make a list of all your promos and send them to Maya or writergamermom by the end of the promo time! *** All you need to include is a list of what type of promo you put up, which fic it was for, and where you posted it. You don’t have to include links.
thayerkerbasy and mayalaen will work at getting everybody’s promos up on the various sites, so if you don’t want your posts mirrored on another site, please let Maya know. If you’re on PF or Dreamwidth, please feel free to post your own promos to the community.
